Before you book…

… there’s a few things we’d like you to know, because we aren’t crowned Australia’s Best Unique Accommodation for being standard! We’re a bit different, but that’s what makes us special. You’ll understand better when you get here.

  1. We have set check-in days at Pumphouse Point. Join us on either a Monday or Wednesday (for a two-night stay), or a Friday (for a three-night stay). Or, join these together and stay longer. From 3rd November to 10th December you can check-in on a Friday for a two-night stay or check-in on Sunday for a one-night stay.
  2. We welcome all our guests together, and you’ll dine together too. It’s incredibly wholesome, but don’t be daunted; there’s plenty of opportunities for quiet self-reflection, a romantic row or a secluded picnic in peace.
  3. Like being left to your own devices? You won’t find butlers or stuffy silver service here, but our small friendly team will make you feel like you’re guests in their own homes. Refreshing, just like the wilderness itself.

Intrigued? Ready for a wilderness retreat like no other? Continue on to make a booking…

WINE, DINE + PICNIC

Our chef’s mission:
fresh,
local,
seasonal,
uncomplicated.

There’s an ambience in our dining room that’s hard to put into words. You’re here together, in the heart of the wilderness, bonded by your experiences of this place. Wine, conversation and courses flow, with the ease of a big family dinner. Hearty, high-quality fare highlights our small-scale growers and producers.

We do our best to cater to food intolerances and can accommodate only basic dietary requirements (GF, DF, V, VG).

Covid rules are in place for all dining.

SHARED-TABLE DINNER

Dinner in the Shorehouse is included in the room rate for all guests each night, featuring a seasonal three-course set menu – nourishing soups, roasted and braised meats, fresh vegetables, and decadent desserts are the norm.

FIRE FEASTING

Gather around the fire and enjoy premium meats, chargrilled vegetables, puddings and indulgent extras all cooked over our two enormous Asado grills – this is a dinner to remember. The flames are roaring on set nights during your stay.

HIGHLAND BREAKFAST

Breakfast is included in the room rate each day. Cook your eggs to your liking, build a toastie with local ham and cheese, indulge in homemade baked beans and Tassie bacon, or for a lighter option, fill a bowl with artisan granola, fruit compote, and natural yoghurt. It’ll set you up for the day nicely.

IN YOUR ROOM

Each room has a larder filled with tempting produce – artisan cheeses, cured meats, antipasti, on-the-go snacks, wines, beers, and cider. Graze away on a platter or pack a delicious picnic to whisk away on a hike or an e-bike.

HOT CRUSTY BREAD

There are few more hunger-inducing smells than fresh crusty bread. We deliver a complimentary hot sourdough loaf to accompany your larder goods – the perfect addition to your picnic or platter.

HONESTY BARS

There are three bars at Pumphouse Point… but no bar staff. Each lounge has a fully stocked help-yourself bar, warmth from wood fires, and magnificent views.
