Before you book…

… there’s a few things we’d like you to know, because we aren’t crowned Australia’s Best Unique Accommodation for being standard! We’re a bit different, but that’s what makes us special. You’ll understand better when you get here.

  1. We have set check-in days at Pumphouse Point. Join us on either a Monday or Wednesday (for a two-night stay), or a Friday (for a three-night stay). Or, join these together and stay longer. From 3rd November to 10th December you can check-in on a Friday for a two-night stay or check-in on Sunday for a one-night stay.
  2. We welcome all our guests together, and you’ll dine together too. It’s incredibly wholesome, but don’t be daunted; there’s plenty of opportunities for quiet self-reflection, a romantic row or a secluded picnic in peace.
  3. Like being left to your own devices? You won’t find butlers or stuffy silver service here, but our small friendly team will make you feel like you’re guests in their own homes. Refreshing, just like the wilderness itself.

The welcome is warm and uniquely Tasmanian – inclusive of all food including our farmhouse fare dinners at shared tables in the Shorehouse dining room, an expanded larder brimming with the best local produce, wines and Tasmanian craft beers, ciders and spirits, as well as a few surprises…

 

 

Designed with daring elements showcasing the lake’s natural beauty and unpredictability. Locally crafted furniture, ceramics, bath products and two deep tubs for soaking (one under the stars!) all combine to create a space for escape, for togetherness, for quiet retreat.
